David Reyne has graced Australian television screens for three decades, constantly building on an impressive body of work as a host, reporter, actor, writer, producer and musician.
For nearly 20 years David has been travelling the world for Australia’s longest running and most successful prime-time travel program, Getaway. It is here that he has earned himself a reputation as Australia’s most incisive travel reporter. David continues to travel the world and file stories for the show.
David was the host of Wind Down on smoothfm 91.5 in Melbourne and 95.3 in Sydney
From 2006 until the end of 2009, David was co-host of 9am with David and Kim on Network TEN.
As a writer, David wrote a regular column for The Herald Sun titled Reyne’s World and has been a regular contributor to the Traveller section for Fairfax Newspapers.
David was also a host of The Midday Show with Tracy Grimshaw back in 1995.
As an actor, David has appeared in movies, theatre and television. His credits include The Man From Snowy River, The Flying Doctors and Sweet and Sour, for which he won the Silver Logie for Best New Talent in 1984.
David is also a popular voiceover artist and has narrated three series of The Celebrity Apprentice.
As a musician, David was the drummer with the multi-platinum selling Chantoozies and was also the original drummer for Australian Crawl.
David is a husband of marathon duration, a muddled parent, a golfer of astonishing inability, a fair-weather surfer, a raconteur of delight and surprise and a feverish explorer of whatever may take him beyond the next rise and around the next swamp.
