David Reyne

David Reyne has graced Australian television screens for three decades, constantly building on an impressive body of work as a host, reporter, actor, writer, producer and musician.

For over 25 years David has been travelling the world for Australia’s longest running and most successful prime-time travel program,”Getaway” on Nine Network. It is here that he has earned himself a reputation as Australia’s most incisive travel reporter. David continues to travel the world and file stories for the show.

David was the host of “Wind Down” on smoothfm 91.5 in Melbourne and 95.3 in Sydney.

On TV, David has hosted Network Ten’s “9am with David and Kim”  from 2006 - 2009 and was co-host of “The Midday Show” on Nine Network alongside Tracey Grimshaw in 1995. As a voiceover artist he has narrated all series of “Celebrity Apprentice”.

As a writer, David wrote a regular column for The Herald Sun titled Reyne’s World and has been a regular contributor to the Traveller section for Fairfax Newspapers.

As an actor, David has appeared in movies, theatre and television. His credits include “The Man From Snowy River”, “The Flying Doctor” and “Sweet and Sou”, for which he won the Silver Logie for Best New Talent in 1984.

As a musician, David was the drummer with the multi-platinum selling Chantoozies and was also the original drummer for Australian Crawl.

David is a husband of marathon duration, a muddled parent, a golfer of astonishing inability, a fair-weather surfer, a raconteur of delight and surprise and a feverish explorer of whatever may take him beyond the next rise and around the next swamp.
