Tim McMillan is a respected journalist and winner of two Quill awards.
As a TV journalist, Tim has been the weeknight news anchor for Nine News Perth. Tim was a reporter for ABC Radio Perth, ABC Radio Melbourne and Nine News Sydney. He has covered major breaking news stories including the final Azaria Chamberlain inquest, the Beaconsfield inquest, the Black Saturday bushfires, the prosecutions of high profile underworld figures Carl Williams and Tony Mokbel, Schappelle Corby's release from Bali's Kerobokan prison and Australia's largest ever terrorism trial.
During his time in Sydney, Tim anchored Nine's national morning and afternoon bulletins and still enjoys occasionally sitting in for Karl Stefanovic on Today.
Born and bred in Perth, Tim returned to his home state in 2013 to anchor Nine News Perth. In addition to presenting the evening news, Tim helped launch Perth's first live and local news program, hosting Today Perth News in 2015 and 2015.
Tim's qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (UWA) and a degree in Broadcasting (WAAPA). His work in journalism has been recognised and celebrated in the industry by his winning of two Quill Awards for Best Television News Report in 2009 and 2011.
Tim is happily married with a young son and loves to spend weekends on the beaches of Perth with his family.
